Located in the medieval hamlet of Montefienali, this two floored property sits amidst other finely restored homes and shares amazing views of the surrounding Tuscan hillside. Winding roads lead through lush green woods and onto a suggestive path that reveals the medieval hamlet. The serene and peaceful setting reminds us of times past whilst we walk down the stone path and into the heart of the hamlet. Casetta Montefienali is located on the upper part of the hamlet and sits on two floors. The main entrance is next to the covered terrace and opens into the main sitting room and kitchen area complete with fireplace. Upstairs one will find two bedrooms and a bathroom. This 70 sqm holiday home is the perfect size for a small family and has been working quite well with rentals as well.

Two swimming pools, a large pool and a smaller one for children, are located at the top end of the hamlet enjoying the view of the roof tops and of the surrounding hills. There are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the setting as well as the quaint little chapel at the far end of the hamlet. A reception hall complete with telephone, fax and computer is available for guests and owners.

A separate parking area has also been created for guests. The hotel Albizzi is located in Montefienali and is of historical importance being the main residence of the noble family of the same name. The entire hamlet would have been created around the villa during the 13th century. Today, the villa is a beautiful hotel and restaurant open to guests and residents.

All services are available such as two wells, gas, electricity, telephone, septic system, LSDN for good computer connection and satellite TV. The custodian has a small apartment on site and maintains the grounds. Shared expenses are paid on a yearly basis and is calculated on the sqm of the apartment owned. Access to and from Il Borgo di Montefienali is good with the A1 autostrada at about 30 minutes drive from the area. Gaiole in Chianti, known for its wine country and great cuisine, is a short distance from the hamlet and here one will find all basic amenities, restaurants, shops, bars and various historical sites to visit. The cities of Siena and Florence are about 30 to 40 minutes drive from Gaiole and offer all the best in the Italian cultural experience.
